Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the notee mobile application and related services ("notee", "we", "us"). By downloading or using notee, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

notee is an AI note-taking app that records audio, reads photos and documents, pulls transcripts from links, and uses AI to generate notes, summaries, and answers inside an editable note. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use notee. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.

3. Subscriptions and payments

notee offers an optional paid subscription, notee Pro, which unlocks features such as unlimited AI edits, imports, and transcription. An optional free trial may be offered.

Billing: subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store using your Apple Account.
Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
Managing & cancelling: manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. If you start a paid subscription during a free trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited.
Refunds: handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we generally cannot issue refunds directly.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the audio, images, documents, links, and text you add to notee ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, store, transmit, and process Your Content — including sending it to our AI processing providers — solely to operate and provide the service to you.

You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to it. In particular, you must have the right to record and upload any audio, images, or documents, and you are responsible for complying with copyright and with others' privacy — for example, obtaining any consent required to record a lecture, meeting, or conversation, and respecting the terms of third-party content such as YouTube videos.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use notee to upload or process content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to use; to violate others' privacy or intellectual-property rights; to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service; or to misuse the AI features to generate harmful or illegal material.

6. AI output disclaimer

AI-generated transcripts, summaries, and answers may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided for convenience and are not professional (academic, legal, medical, or financial) advice. Always verify important information against the original source before relying on it.

7. Intellectual property

The notee app, its design, branding, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our brand or software beyond using the app as intended.

8. Termination

You may stop using notee and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

9. Disclaimers

notee is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of notee. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Apple App Store terms

These Terms are between you and notee, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Your use of notee is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (standard EULA); where these Terms and the Apple standard EULA conflict, the Apple standard EULA applies for App Store usage. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. Continued use of notee after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which notee operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.
